How to join 2017 to this project as a berry picker

  1. Register your information to this web site. Register
  2. Book yourself a ticket to Finland and travel to city of Jyväskylä bus station between first and  3th of August. Call us +358408590125 and we will pick you up from there to Hankasalmi. Join a group of 5 to 9 of other pickers and rent a car and a trailer from us. You may of course have your groups formed together with your friends before you come in here.

Kero

Gym class building has a big room with 50 beds inside in there and a shower room.

-One night 5€/person

The other building have rooms from 2 persons to 12 persons

-One night price 6-20euros/person depending on room

Take your own bed sheets or sleeping bag with you!

Siivikko

This old school had been used also a home. It has a lot of small rooms in there and one big room too,

Q: What type of work wild berry picking is?

Berry picking is free enterprise here in Finland for all of the people, foreigners inclueded. It is tax free for all  pickers. This might sound a little bit weird for foreigners, but it had been made so that people would collect more berries and mushrooms from forrests. It has been estimated that still more than 90% of Finnish wild berries rottens every year to forrests because nobody picks them.
